Karen Manotas

Biography

Karen Manotas, Assistant Professor (Clinical) is a child and adolescent psychiatrist at the University of Utah who specializes in school-based psychiatric consultation. She serves as co-director of the Utah School Mental Health Collaborative and provides school-based consultation to several rural and urban school districts in Utah. She supervises and trains UU child psychiatry and triple board trainees during their school-based psychiatry rotation and works on the child inpatient psychiatric units at the Huntsman Mental Health Institute.

​She also serves as the behavioral health clinic director for the University of Utah West High School School-Based Health Clinic in Salt Lake City.   Dr. Manotas is board-certified in Psychiatry (2020-present) and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (2023-present) by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. In addition to school-based health, Dr. Manotas has a particular interest in systems-based care, community outreach, clinical research, program development, and quality improvement.
